At the Parliament
website the flag shows in a proprietary MS Word vectorial format, which
seems to be a variant or successor to the previous one.
(This
image is shown when client browser settings bar the vectorial display.)
The changes include details in the shape of the bird, including
disappeared head details (a drafting artifact?), and the shape of the
flag, now a plain light blue pennant, no longer a light blue triangle on
a white rectangle — the three-word motto has also disappeared.
António Martins, 11 September 2007
The flag shows a large light blue triangle on a white background (actually
it seems like an uncropped pennant), charged with a white dove, lined black
holding a scroll that reads "LIBERAL", flying towards a white five
pointed star. On the white areas, black uppercase serif Tetum lettering was
added, reading "RELIJIAUN" (religion) in the upper fly,
"KULTURA" (culture) in the bottom fly, and "LIBERDADE"
(freedom) at the hoist.
António Martins, 22 September 2001, describing from a photo
P.L. got 4013 votes in the 2001.08.30 elections
(1.10%), recieving 1 of 88 seats in the parlament, where it is one of the very
small parties. This is one of the few parties with its name officially in Tetum,
not in Portuguese.
António Martins, 22 September 2001
This party has not run to the 2007.06.02
elections and is probably defunct, though it is still listed in the
Parliament website.
